 I believe this news group is being bidirectionally gatewayed to a mailing
list.  The gatewaying is done at Berkeley, but the mailing list is controlled
elsewhere.

 Unfortunately the mail software used to manage the mailing list is apparently
stripping out the Message-ID: header, so that there is no easy way for the
gatewaying software to avoid the duplication.
