I ran the following timing tests: : tt 1000000 0 DO I DROP LOOP ; 1700 milliseconds. : tt 1000 0 DO I BLOCK DROP LOOP ; 2300 milliseconds This last test requires lots of switches from protected mode to real mode. This makes it slightly better then twice as fast as a 33 MHz 386. Should be fast enough for just about anything. ----- This message came from GEnie via willett.
