I'll relay any mail, sent to me, on to him. Please do not post, as I do not have a chance to read the net much. and he has no net access. Many Thanks, Frank. spanki@ced.berkeley.edu --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I just wasted a bundle of money on MINIX 1.5 for my Amiga. I read the side of the box and got kinda excited that I could put a UNIX V7-like OS on my Amiga. Well, I sure can, but as it is stated in the two page section on how to run it on an Amiga: MINIX supports most common peripherals, except a hard disk ^^^^^^^^^ "Yikes!!! I'm totally screwed! What kind of ripoff is this!" I thought. Well, I have the source and I have a wee bit of time, but I don't feel like trying to write Hard Disk drivers myself. So, if either of you could peruse through "comp.os.minix" (and maybe even post a request for info on Hard Disk drivers for MINIX on the Amiga) I would really appreciate it. I'd appreciate it even more if you actually passed any responses that might occur along to me. Anyway, if you have time and remember, please take a look at the news group and post the request.
