GNU indent reads a whole file into a buffer (bad idea on 64k machines). BSD indent doesn't. The GNU code is much better than the BSD code (the GNU stuff is derived from BSD indent). I've done some work to get GNU indent to work work on Ms/Dos systems (64k code/64 data). Should work fine on Minix. If there's interest, I can look at what I did.
