We would like to announce the availability of the Stanford ParalleL
Applications for SHared-Memory (SPLASH). This is a set of realistic
applications written in C or FORTRAN, parallelized using the Argonne
National Lab macro package. We have received numerous requests for
the applications that we commonly use in our own architectural studies
and have finally finished the effort of cleaning up and characterizing
these applications. We hope that they will be of use to the community.

The source code and accompanying report can be obtained via anonymous
ftp from mojave.Stanford.EDU, directory pub/splash. Comments can be
made to splash@mojave.Stanford.EDU.
