I am seeking information and references regarding a data interchange 
format called TIFF (tag image file format).  I believe it was developed 
by Microsoft and Aldus.

Information describing what it is, who currently uses it and plans for 
its future use would be greatly appreciated.  Any useful information 
will be incorporated into a paper I am preparing on electronic 
document delivery technologies for the National Library of Canada.
