Message-ID: <14353@darkstar.ucsc.edu> Date: 11 Apr 91 20:57:46 GMT Sender: usenet@darkstar.ucsc.edu Distribution: usa Lines: 14 Currently, I have a WD8003 ethernet card running with Sun's (Tops's) PC-NFS package. I tried to install NE1000 Compatible cards in place of the WD cards, but couldn't get them to work. The WD cards came with a disk of drivers, and those drivers where what I used with the PC-NFS. However, the NE-compatible cards did not come with any drivers at all. I tried the "NIC" standard driver that came with PC-NFS, but it didn't work at all. Now, where do I buy the drivers I need? Everyone I talked to gives me that same blank "drivers? Wwat are drivers?" stare. One salesman even insisted they must have meant "hard drives". Am I dreaming when I think I can find a driver for these boards? Does any small 4K ".sys" files come with the real novell cards? If so, I can just buy kOthose.
