I would only need the PC to act as a client. Specifically, I am looking for the socket family of functions (socket(), connect(), etc.) I don't need TELNET or FTP (but that wouldn't preclude me from buying the package). Also, if SLIP or even dialup SLIP are supported, I would be very interested. I have information about SUN's PC-NFS product and it seems that it would do all that I want (plus NFS), however, it costs $395 per PC.
