John, I may have sent a message to one of your workers (a cis student here?)
in which I discussed our attempts to port ntp to dos.  OS/2 has a better 
chance because of its partial ability in multitasking but it still seems to
me that the full xntp that is on large network hosts is not going to go
on a pc.  xntp as far as I know has not been ported to any pc environment.
As I said in the recent message I think that a simple ntp deamon could be 
developed for the pc, but it would have to be developed from scratch and 
the protocal discription.  We attempted to start such a project but very 
few want to work on it as its relative usefullness to us started looking 
rather dim dispite that someone may be able to use such a thing somewhere.
My suggestion for you by the discription I got (if its the same thing) is
to consider whether a simpler deamon might work if you are working only 
on a group of pc's and taking the data from your time reciever as a 
reference.  See if a few lines of code might screw things together in an
acceptable way without so much bother.
