Computer Science, Australia Lines: 22 Hi there! I was over at a friend's house last night trying out some of his new (Amiga) Software - Bard's Tale III and Das Boot. Both of these are hard-disk installable (the Das Boot disk had ERRORS on it - luckily Disk Salv fixed it). The graphics on Bard's Tale III are AWFUL - while the main screen panel is well drawn, the animated monsters are appalling - poorly drawn, lo res with black lines around them (like they've come out of a colouring book). Yech. Definitely inferior to the animations in BT I, II and Dragon Wars (the best Bard's Tale game so far, imho - although it no longer has graphics for armour shops etc etc :-( ). Two trivial questions tho': While I was playing Bard's Tale III, I didn't notice any sound after the intro scene. Is this normal? As for Das Boot, how do you use the deck gun effectively? Seems to me it's "hit and miss" when you're blasting away as ships. Roddi.
