Let Lemmings collect in the pit. Make 1 Lemming climb out of pit toward exit. When Lemming gets near exit, make him dig vertically but only for 2-3 digs. Turn him into a builder. He will build a short bridge then stop, turn round and climb out of small hole. When he gets about halfway back to the pit turn him into a miner so that he digs a slope finishing just above the bottom of the pit. All of the Lemmings will then walk up the ramp and into the exit. You only need to save 60% so you can afford to lose a few! Jim.
