Keywords: Laser DTP Message-ID: <1991Apr11.164733.13153@hemel.bull.co.uk> Date: 11 Apr 91 16:47:33 GMT References: <1991Apr10.163335.28171@hemel.bull.co.uk> Organization: Bull HN UK Lines: 19 I have recently bought an old Brother HL-8 laser (with HP Laserjet+ emulation) but it doesn't seem to have nearly enough memory for doing 300dpi DTP type work. It has only 1/2 Mb ---- How much in total is needed to hold a full page of A4 size image ? I have been told that HP Laserjet II memory cards are OK - is this correct ? If so, I have the choice of 1Mb, 2Mb or 4mb for which the prices are (in pounds) 68, 102 & 164 plus VAT @ 17.5%. Are these reasonable prices ? If not, where can they be gotten cheaper ? One final question, any idea whether it's possible to get a postscript cart. for this printer ? Thanx in advance Ian Greenaway alias igreenaw@hemel.bull.co.uk
