We can not receive any mail coming from outside. Local mail though works. Our dn10000 is running under sr10.3 and we are using the sendmail files coming with this release. We have no problems on sending mail. If we try to send mail to our dn10000 the mail bounces back with an 'unknown mailer error 5' (see below). ___________________________________________________________________ >From MAILER-DAEMON@dn10000.pi.tu-berlin.de Fri Apr 12 07:58:30 1991 Return-Path: X400-Received: by /PRMD=tu-berlin/ADMD=dbp/C=de/; Relayed; 12 Apr 91 08:02:38+0200 Date: 12 Apr 91 08:02:38+0200 From: Mail Delivery Subsystem Subject: Returned mail: unknown mailer error 5 Message-Id: <9104120602.AA02577@dn10000.pi.tu-berlin.de> To: olip0931@mailszrz.zrz.tu-berlin.de Status: R ----- Transcript of session follows ----- mail: Options MUST PRECEDE persons 554 ... unknown mailer error 5 ----- Unsent message follows ----- Received: by dn10000.pi.tu-berlin.de ( 5.52 (85)/Apollo Domain/OS SR10.3) id AA02575; Fri, 12 Apr 91 08:02:38 +0200 X400-Received: by /PRMD=tu-berlin/ADMD=dbp/C=de/; Relayed; 12 Apr 91 08:03:01+0100 Date: 12 Apr 91 08:03:01+0100 From: Christian Paschereit Message-Id: <9104120558.AA04507@mailszrz.zrz.tu-berlin.de> To: oliver@dn10000.pi.tu-berlin.de Subject: test test _________________________________________________________________ How are your mailers defined in /usr/lib/sendmail.cf? Perhaps you are not passing parameters to your local mailer properly, but then you'd figure that local mail wouldn't work. Still ... let's see how you've got the mailers configured.
