Since you mention GWM.... Thats what I'm using now. And I've got it
where it pretty much does the things that I liked about the DM. I've
got keys defined to move windows around in a grid. And the such. The
only thing I haven't really figured out yet is the DM command ti.

I think that GWM is what the DM should have grown up to be.
