Well lets see, in order:

1) try just
XDMCP = ENABLED		

Apparently RTFM wouldn't have helped you as the code and the manuals
have different things for this. (This from a lab guy trying not to
say 'the manuals are wrong' :-).

2) The 700X does not support .Xauthority. At least not in any meaningful
way. It does pass MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE as a password but ... well this
(surprise surprise) doesn't provide much protetction. 

The 700X does not support XDM-AUTHORIZATION-1. This is in part due to
export restrictions on DES based code. Sorry.
