By mistake I thought I should edit the CMOS chip and I tried to do that by going into extended CMOS setup . But I must had set some bits wrong because it refused to boot up next time. So I reset the CMOS values and booted up again. It worked. But the problem now is instead of reporting 1 M RAM memory ( as it used to before I reset the CMOS chip ) it is now reporting only 640 k memory. I do not know how to set up CMOS chip to access full 1 M RAM. So I am asking you netters, if any of you help me to set up CMOS ( it reports 82C235 chip) , it is greatly appritiated. My computer configuration is: IBM PC AT 286 clone. American megatrends BIOS-286 1 M RAM 43 M Hard drive 2 serail, 1 game, 1 parallel port 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" ( High Density) drives Oak Tech.
