It is a 10 Meg 1/2 height 5 1/4" hard drive that uses MFM encoding. What I need is the head count, cylinder count, precomp, etc. - anything you can find. I cannibalized my old PC and moved this hard disk to the new machine and, of course, things don't work well. I have an AMS1100-M4 MFM HD/FD controller hooked up to it. It seems to work fine at first, but then I start to get a flurry of messages saying files are sharing the same cluster and lost chains have been found. I suspect that the low-level format(s) that I performed might not have been "correct." The drive was in good shape beforehand, so this is why I am asking for the details on the drive. Thanks in advance, Allan MacKinnon
