Summary: Is ps/2 type mouse compatible with serial mouse? Keywords: ps/2 mouse Message-ID: Date: 9 Apr 91 00:54:28 GMT Sender: news@nntp-server.caltech.edu Organization: California Institute of Technology, Pasadena Lines: 10 I need to know about the PS/2 mouse interface, enough to know if I can connect a PS/2 compatible mouse (actually a trackball, if that matters) to a non-PS/2. This would have to be as a serial mouse. It seems that I heard of serial mice that would work on PS/2's so it might work. Do I need an extra power supply? I know I will need a longer cable, it is only about 1 foot. I could easily add a power supply if needed. This is for use with OS/2 1.2, so it needs to be compatible with some PM mouse driver.
