The specification I must meet is 56000 baud synchronous (T1 protocol) hardware Telnet or FTP or KERMIT software AT THIS SPEED. I have no idea whether one can simply buy a PC and add hardware and software to meet these constraints or whether a custom solution is required. I am informed that it is not possible (or at least VERY tough) to get asynchronous software with a sync/async mux to run at this sort of speed. So if you are already doing this, could you please let me know.
