Toshiba is selling in Europe (and Japan) a Sparc-based portable. It weighs as much as the Sony, has a 1152-by-900 pixel display (better than Sony) and similar I/O capabilities. It costs more ($14,000) and the performance is inferior (a SPECmark of 10). I don't know about the screen technology. Shortly it's expected also in US. Is there anyone in Europe who has tried it?
