Please respond by E-mail to me. Back in '83 Moto sold a part called MC6839 "Floating Point ROM" for the 6809. It is an 8K ROM with code supporting the IEEE STD draft 8.0. It has the following formats: single, double, & extended. It has the following operations: add, subtract, multiply, divide, sqr rt, remainder, integer part, abs val, neg, int->fp, fp->decimal string, predicate compares, and condition code compares. It has 4 rounding modes, 2 closure modes, and a normalize mode. I believe I have one in my spares box. Pete Salerno c/o Dick Smith Northrop ESD-RMS smithr@ast.dsd.northrop.com
