Utilities I have tried so far on the Unix end include SDSC imconv and PBM stuff. The former dumps core when I try to use it to convert PICT2's to Iris RGB files, the latter doesn't handle PICT2's. I have succeeded in making the PICT2 files into TIFF files using PixelPaint Professional, but when I used SDSC to convert the TIFF files, it dropped the colour map information (which is VITAL) on the floor. What I need is PICT2 -> some reasonable format, taking account of the colour map information. I'd rather have the app run on the Unix side, but Mac end stuff would be okay to. I'm prepared to handle multi-step stuff as well (i.e. SDSC supposedly handles GIF, so if I could get PICT2->GIF, that might be enough - of course, how well SDSC handles GIF is unknown to me at this point).
