(Finder out of memory?) Message-ID: <1991Apr10.144658.25247@wam.umd.edu> Date: 10 Apr 91 14:46:58 GMT Sender: usenet@wam.umd.edu (USENET Posting) Distribution: usa Organization: University of Maryland at College Park Lines: 25 Originator: nadeem@cscwam.umd.edu Nntp-Posting-Host: cscwam We are having trouble running a few applications like Illustrator, Pagemaker, and Freehand at the same time under Multifinder. The error we get is the Finder is out of memory. I have tried to make the Application Memory Size in the Get Info box of the Finder larger but without any luck as far as getting 3 pretty large applications going at the same time. This problem is on a IIfx with 20MB ram (only 14MB shows up in About the Finder (System 7?)) There are quite a few devices mounted. An internal hard disk, Apple external HD, GCC external HD, and a Mass Micro Syquest. Please help, it is depressing not to be able run Multifinder with a few applications. Was increasing the Finder Application Memory Size heading in the right direction? Thanks for any help and advice. -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Nadeem Malik nadeem@wam.umd.edu 5906 Hubbard Drive voice: (301) 770-2290 Rockville, MD 20852 fax: (301) 881-6339
