Keywords: Font Bitmap Postscript Outline TrueType PDL Message-ID: <3831@ssc-bee.ssc-vax.UUCP> Date: 11 Apr 91 22:47:09 GMT Organization: Boeing Aerospace & Electronics, Seattle WA Lines: 10 Does anyone Out There know of a utility or technique for producing anyone of {Postscript, TrueType, PDL or outline} font from a bitmap font? (Put another way, is there a way to convert a bitmap font to something that, oh say an HP Deskwriter -- to use as an example the printer I'm using -- could use to best efficiency?) I know programs like SuperPaint and Canvas can "auto-trace" a bit-mapped item and produce an outline-object. What I'm interested in is something that could take the one more step and do whatever-needs-doing to create a printer font from that outline-style result.
