Message-ID: <1991Apr11.042148.24780@bullet.ecf.toronto.edu> Organization: University of Toronto, Engineering Computing Facility Date: Thu, 11 Apr 91 04:21:48 GMT A colleague of mine is considering the purchase on a NeXT Slab, and he has the following few questions which he asked me to post. 1) Does anyone have any good/bad experience adding a 3rd party external Fujitsu 670 Mb formatted SCSI drive? 2) Also, any experience with a 3rd party Archive 150 Mb quick format 1/4" tape drive? 3) Is 8 Megabytes of RAM on the NeXT sufficient for most applications (including X), or is 16 Mb a "practical" minimum? 4) Any "do"s or "don't"s that should be considered in the puchase (we are looking for sage advice, here.) Please email responses to me. I will post a summary if there is sufficient response, and interest. Thank-you, in advance.
