What is there along the lines of Terminal programms, and Modem cables??? I have a good modem, but I am looking for a Program to use it on the NeXT, and I don't wanna pay for it... i.e Shareware/freeware.... 1) Modem cables for the NeXT are getting easier and easier to come by. NextConnection has them for certain. Otherwise, the first cable I ever built was a NextStation-style modem for a 25-pin thingy (hey, I just built it, I don't know the lingo :-). Sure, I had some help, but it wasn't that hard . . . 2) As a Shareware author, I guess I sort of have to defend us. Shareware shouldn't be something you don't pay for - you try it out, and then either pay for it, or delete it. I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't always work out that way, but broadcasting an attitude like that you give above is something that should be stomped out - it's similar to saying "anyone got a copy of Communicae they can send me via email?" 3) Use kermit for your modem stuff. It's cheap (ie, free), it's availiable from many archives in both source and object form, and it works (which is something that many programs can't say), and it works with non-NeXT machines, also. Then you can run it within Terminal, and you need not pay anything. Of course, you get what you pay for - in this case, you get alot more than you pay for, but you do lose some integration.
