Message-ID: <1991Apr10.140641.28953@dcs.glasgow.ac.uk> Date: 10 Apr 91 14:06:41 GMT Organization: Glasgow University Computing Science Dept. Lines: 36 I looking at implementing a parallel functional language on a large (96 processor) Parsytec transputer cluster based on the T800 transputer connected to a Sun4. It is planned to use C as an intermediate language. I would like any comments transputer programmers have about using C on transputers. In particular comments on the different C compilers available would be most appreciated: eg) ParC (Parsytec) C (INMOS) C (3L) C (Logical Systems) C (Norcroft) any others I have missed Areas of interest/concern include: performance/usability of the compiler quality of code generated communication features/tools (and their performance) concurrent processing features/tools (and their performance) Please reply be e-mail. I will post a summary of responses. Thanks in advance, Patrick.
