I would like to accumulate references on mathematical descriptions
of hierarchies of graphs.  Is anyone aware of work in this area?

Another area that might be related would be studies of graph grammars in
which the parse tree, rather than the terminal graph "word", is of
interest.

Please mail to me at the address below, as I am trying to work on my
dissertation rather than reading news.
