For example: I'm trying to mount machine_a:/usr/joe onto /usr/joe. Automount successfully mounts the target under /tmp_mnt/usr/joe and makes a symbolic link /usr/joe -> /tmp_mnt/usr/joe However, any attempt to access /usr/joe or any subdirectory results in /usr/joe: not a directory. ls -l /usr/joe reveals: lrwxrxxrxx 24 me other 512 Apr 11 21:37 /usr/joe -> /tmp_mnt/usr/joe But I can't cd to it!
