Hi, 

Our newsfeed had been dead for more than one week since last time I
posted a note about installing Thomas Roell's X386 under AT&T UNIX
System V/386 Release 3.2.2. The problem about the frozen server seemed
to be caused by the emulation of select(). It doesn't work very well
under AT&T UNIX. Poll() used to emulate select() only supports
STREAMS in AT&T UNIX and seems not to return under some circumstances.
Does anyone know if there is any good emulation of BSD select() for
SVR3 without using pull() in PD?
