He hasn't *done* anything; it's all talk. He's repeated the same tired carping about how the world is going to hell in a handbasket. Worse still, he's posting just to comp.unix.wizards, where he knows he'll have a sympathetic audience. It has about as much significance as a bunch of old men sitting on the porch of the country store, spinning yarns about how the world was when they were young. In fact, I know Dick well enough to be able to tell you that he has done some work on an X server; he may just be trying to atone (however slightly!) for that sin. His words pale before his actions.
