This is mentioned in the README.DOC file included in the ATMFNTS?.ZIP files and is *absolutely necessary* to get the fonts to print on a Postscript printer. I have the TI Microlaser PS17 and I'm *assuming* your TI Omnilaser also speaks Postscript. The Adobe Type Manager only needs the font metric files (*.pfm) and the font outline files (*.pfb), not the *.afm files. When you use ATM to install the fonts, your WinApps will be able to find the font metric files that are used to display the font on the screen. To print the font, WIN.INI needs the path to the *.pfb files so Windows can download the proper font outline file to your printer. This task one is required to do by hand! Find the softfonts section in the WIN.INI file. You will see something like: softfont(##)=c:psfonts\pfm\fontname.pfm Change this to: softfont(##)=c:psfonts\pfm\fontname.pfm,c:\psfonts\fontname.pfb You will have to do this for all the fonts you added. This procedure has worked for me. Now I am eager to max out the memory in the PS17 so I can download more fonts at once. Good luck. Doug Dickerson douglas@gandalf.nosc.mil
