I have not had the problem the peron a few posts ago said about the directories updating in the FileManager. Whenever I do anything that has to do with reading/writing/moving/copying/etc files, the filemanager updates its directory windowz! I even think that it's kinda neat to watch.. put the filemanager in a convient spot, leave the directory open that you're writing files to, and save a file ino that dirctory! Bingo, the filemanager updates and redraws! Note that this only works for WINDOWS applications.. applications running in a dos window or a dos full-screen session don't have the same effect. If this is the problem (stuff at dos prompt doesn't get updated in the filemanager), you can hit to manually redraw the selected window, or you can add the line: FileSysChange=on (the case IS important) *** this command, and many others, are documented in the SYSINI*.TXT files. This file says that the line above has a setting, but I don't know if that means & , or & , and the manual has _both_ in the examples. Your mileage may vary. -- Aaron Coolidge acoolidg@wpi.wpi.edu bitnet:sorry, use a gateway. "I'm always in control of my car. Well, at least 70% of the time."
