first of all willie you should be aware that the audapter out of
the box is radically different than one that has been programed
both with the onboard firm ware and the use of phonims in the
user dictionary.  there are things you can do with it to
customize it that I don't begin to understand.  I have played
with the firmware a little but left it alone for the most part.
a sign of a quality box is how long your attention span last
while reading a text file or something scanned in by arkenstone.
I found I can read the fidno new letter or other electronic news
letters with more comprehension and less ear fatgue than say the
sounding board or artic. even my old friend echo has less
attention span than say vert or decktalk or audapter.
