The L.L.S.1 is a real, commissioned US Navy ship at the White Sands
Missile Range near Alamogordo, NM. It's used to test ship-based
weapons systems. It doesn't float...too well.

You see pictures/articles every few years in either of the two
Albuquerque, NM daily newspapers.
