I have recently installed dBase IV and encountered their hard drive test. It provides some interesting numbers, but are meaningless without a reference to compare them to. I wonder if anyone has run these tests for a variety of hard drives and seen the results published. I would be curious to hear 1) CPU 2) disk drive&controller 3) performance results for other users of dBase IV. It only takes a few seconds to invoke their test.. Any help would be appreciated.
