We are actually using PostScript output from e.g. dvips, which we translate into a IMG bitmap for printing on a Xerox 4050/90. Althought the fonts look OK on an Apple Laserwriter (which is, it seems, a write black engine) the fonts come out too faint on the Xerox printers. As we are using the same input file, namely the PostScript file, I guess we have to generate our 800+ fonts once more for that printer. Does somebody have the correct Metafont settings for those devices? Sincere thanks, Michel Goossens / CERN Geneva Switzerland
