Yeah, there is a pcx to pbm converter available in Jeff Pokanzer's (sp)
portable bitmap libraries.  pbmplus is available at
maccs.dcss.mcmaster.ca 130.113.1.1 among other places.
In that library there is also a pbmtogif conversion.
