  I found a lead ( more than that actually ) on the sharing retry / interval
problem you had.  I was going through Ralf Brown's interupt list ( GOD! )
and saw reference the the undocumented list of list.  I'd seen this before
but didn't pay attention since at the time it was meaningless to me ;-).
Anyway, the first two enteries in the data structuure are number of retries
and interval between retries.  I can post you the relavant portions of the
list, the list ( warning - uncompressed it's OVER a MEG ), or tell you where
you can FTP it is you like.
