Over the past month or two I've seen ads in the local Seattle newspaper in which Ballard Computer was selling the LJIII for $1399 if you also bought a toner cartridge from them (they didn't mention the price of the cartridge, but I would figure about $100). Their "specials" seem to come and go; good for a week, then revert to a higher price, then a week or two later they run the same ad that's good for another week, etc. So the strategy is simply to wait them out until they have another special - it shouldn't take more than a few weeks. I don't know about the price of memory. -- Conrad Kimball Boeing Computer Services (206) 865-6410 Email: cek@wsc-sun.boeing.com or cek%wsc-sun@atc.boeing.com UUCP: uw-beaver!bcsaic!wsc-sun!cek
