Anyone > know of updates that allow this to use the higher resolutions? There's an italian version of a gif program, called pmgif11? that you could get (eg) from Pete Norloff's BBS in Virginia. It may be on the net somewhere too, I don't know. This does 256 colours in a PM window. It's slow as molasses, though. But it's the best that I'm aware of. There's another pmgif (pmgif10.zip?) that I think Alan Ballard has up at mtsg.ubc.ca. That's much faster, but only does 16 colours. > > BTW, I'm working on a picture database (using Imara soon).
