Northgate says that their OS/2 (1.21!) will support 256 colors. I can't find out, however, until they send me the 3.5" versions of OS/2!! I would like to know what software supports 256 colors. I've received lots of (mis)information. One woman told me that my color scanner (Epson) would never be supported under OS/2 (1.3) since OS/2 doesn't support color. (???) I have OS2GIF.EXE. I am able to use the 256 color mode, but only at low-res and not under PM. (Why do people keep calling it "Program Manager"?) Anyone know of updates that allow this to use the higher resolutions? BTW, I'm working on a picture database (using Imara soon). Monochrome is o.k. for printed music, but I also want to capture color output from an electronic camera (Mavica). thanks for the help! --kyler
