Summary: can I convert from IEEE488 to parallel or serial? Message-ID: <3678@motcsd.csd.mot.com> Date: 17 Apr 91 07:19:34 GMT Sender: usenet@motcsd.csd.mot.com Lines: 8 I have an HP ThinkJet printer with an IEEE-488/GPIB/HPIB/whatever interface. I'd rather have a serial or parallel interface. Is there any way to convert the unit, even if it takes cannibalizing another ThinkJet? Please don't recommend an IEEE-488 converter box unless it is *very* inexpensive. I can't see putting more than about $50 toward the conversion.
