I`ve been trying to get a remote SLIP machine to communicate through a point
to point link, and a static route, to another machine not running SLIP.  So far
the only success was an ICMP reply to a ping. Will slip work over a static 
route?  I know gated is out there, but I only need my point to point link to
contact one other machine.
