     You don't need to hold the button down.  It's four steps away from the
hole which opens so do this.  Face the button, press it and run BACKWARDS 
for 4 spaces and left.  This'll get you through the door.  Be quick though
as "Time is of the Essence".

     From what I recall now (without maps) there is a key in every chamber.
Take the compass, hold it in the hand of a party member and you can map it
out.  Watch the compass.

     There is only one puzzle in the Guardian room and it is pretty easy.  All
I can say is push the buttons and look at reflections with your Mirror of Dawn.
Some things have a very revealing reflection.
