I want to hook up a (cheap) 3 1/2" hard drive, probably the Seagate ST157A ($199 new). My questions are these: 1. Can the Amiga 1000 power supply comfortably power the drive too? I don't mean "Is it possible?", I don't want my 1000 to die in the middle of something really important six months down the line. I want to know if the supply in the 1000 is just so incredibly hefty that it won't even sweat. 1a. If not, should I do something like connect the grounds of the two supplies together? Do I have to be sure that the a/c polarity is the same for both power supplies? 2. If I can use the 1000 power supply, is there enough room inside the amiga to fit the drive in somewhere too?
