Message-ID: <12552@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu> Date: 19 Apr 91 02:18:41 GMT Sender: amiga@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu Organization: University of Hawaii Lines: 19 Hi all, was wondering if any of you eminently knowledgeable folks could let me know if you see any forseeable problems with this set up I am considering: I currently own a venerable A1000 with the 256K mem expansion in the front panel and a 2 meg allegra ram ram board on the expansion slot. (also A1010 external floppy, printer, and modem, but these seem irrelevant). I was sort of planning to upgrade sometime to one of the 3000 series machines, but I am also toying with the idea of saving some $$$ and revitalizing my 1000. Basically, I am considering a rejuvenator (which should provide 1 meg of chip mem, ECS, a video slot, and a ROM socket--would this allow me to use 2.0, given zkick?) and possibly a Lucas/ Frances combination. Will these devices cooperate nicely with my existing hardware and each other? Some sort of large storage device like a Syquest or Ricoh removable cartridge type hard drive system I could move over to a new machine sometime in the unknown future is also a possibility. Any and all suggestions and advice are welcomed. -baron
