I would like to know as much as possible about what books one should purchase, what programming languages to consider, and which programming language packages to consider. I have experience programming in BASIC and PASCAL, but am not against learning assembly or C. Do all programming packages allow you to program the IIGS or do they require APW? Also, I purchased a IIGS from someone who didn't have the system documentation and I am at a loss for all of the things that I can do with the IIGS. Does anyone know of a way to get a copy of this? Actually, I don't know exactly what I am missing because he gave me absolutely no documentation. Just the machine and some disks. I would appreciate that replies be sent directly to me and I will post a summary of the responses given. Thanks in advance, Dan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dan Smith Consultant Internet: djsmith@macc.wisc.edu Madison Academic Computing Center Bitnet: djsmith@wiscmacc (608) 262-3975 DECnet: WIRCS3::DJSMITH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
