I am a recreational c programmer, and use mostly mark williams c. Things I like about it are the integrated cli, a fairly fast emacs editor, and relatively small code. It isn't ansi, its not public domain, and there isn't likely to ever be an mwc c++. It also has a pretty good source level debugger. It assembly language format is weird tho. I would be interested in hearing from users of gcc about what they like and what they don't. If people think this is appropriate for the whole net, fine; if not e-mail me and I will post a summary.
