I was just typing in First Word Plus (not even fast typing). Besides the symptom described by Marcus above, I also had the following: The last two charcters typed in, repeated only once, and from then on, the ST takes ages (ok, just about 5 seconds I guess), to draw every next character on the screen. I am able to select the save option in the menu (which popped up rather fast-), but the actual save action never starts. Only Ctrl-Del-Shift-etc helps. For your knowledge: No programs were started within the autofolder, and I had only the SNAPSHOT accesoire started.
